|We compete in three different Leagues during the season, an explanation of each is given below.
For each league we aim to put out our strongest team, selected on time, to maximise the gala points awarded. All the League Galas have a mixture of Individual swims and Relays.
If selected you should confirm your availability as soon as possible, if you're ill at the last minute you should contact the team manager or your coach immediately, please don't wait to see if you get better.
This is for swimmers aged 12 and under and the ages are 9,10,11,12 years. Age is taken at the date of that year's Final which is the second Saturday in September.
This league is of a very high standard and the most important league for younger swimmers. There are 51 events with 4 individual swims & 2 relays per age group and 3 cannons. Relays are all 25m per swimmer.Gala Program
2014 Dates - 5 April, 10 May, 28 June, 13 September
2015 Dates - 18 April, 9 May, 27 June, 12 September
This is for swimmers aged 9 and over in 4 age bands - 10/Under, 12/Under, 14/Under & Open. Age is taken at the date of that year's the third round.
This league excludes swimmers with Midland District times and is more relaxed, though still competitive, than the Junior & National leagues. There are 50 events with 4 individuals and 2 relays in each age group plus a 100m IM for the Open swimmers, there are no cannons. Relays are all 25m per swimmer.
2014 Dates - 3 May, 14 June, 12 July
This is for swimmers aged 9 and over in 4 age bands - 11/Under, 13/Under, 15/Under & Open. Age is on teh 31st December of that year.
This is Britains premier swimming league and a very tough enviroment, we compete in the West Midlands Region. Swimmers can range from County standard to Olympic Champions! There are 50 events with 4 individuals and 2 relays in each age group
plus a 200m IM for the Open swimmers, there are no cannons. Relays are
all 50m per swimmer and the Open freestyle relays are for 6 instead of 4 swimmers.
