The Peri Sprints held by Rugby Swimming Club have recently taken place and included a squad of 25 young and enthusiastic Stratford Sharks. The meet features just 5 events, a 50m sprint of each stroke and a 100m Individual Medley.

  A total of 91 swims from the Sharks saw an impressive 70% personal best success rate with every single one of the swimmers achieving at least one. Special mention must go to Hannah Bexson (10) and Caroline Furey (12) who both competed in all 5 events recording personal bests in each, these two were closely followed by Jessica Jones (10), Ellie Ward (10), Danielle Brain (12), Robin Hughes (9), Kit Gallagher (10) and Christopher Jones (14) all achieving four personal bests, a fantastic feat in a long competitive day.

  A total of 9 top three positions were achieved by the Stratford swimmers with Elinor Bird (10) recording the only top spot of the day 1st in the 50m Breaststroke. Ellen Price (12) continued her recent promising form by achieving 2nd places in the 50m Freestyle & Fly with 3rd in the 50m Backstroke. Olga Hall (10) was also a double medallist, 2nd in the 50m Freestyle & 3rd in the 100m Individual Medley as was Robin Hughes (9) 3rd in the 50m Breaststroke & 100m Individual Medley, the final medal delivered by Molly Wright (11) 3rd in the 50m Breaststroke. Congratulations must go to all the swimmers who are now busy preparing for next months County Championships which will see a record 50 swimmers compete for the Sharks.
